i mentioned that i got away to a photo retreat a few weeks ago. i got to reconnect with a friend and got to get her cute family in front of my camera.

she wishes for homework. so today when she got home she made up her own assignments and completed them.
this girl. this beach. it’s what summer dreams are made of.
there’s something about traditions that brings them back together. and while it’s not a strength of mine, we have managed to create a handful of good ones to come back to.
dreamboat.
he’s loving his new sleep hygiene routine. a little shower, a chapter (thanks to a bookstore run) and then a podcast to fall asleep to. a fresh trick always helps for a bit and we are all enjoying the moment.
in the car yesterday the boys were making the case that all things inappropriate that come out of their mouths can be blamed on middle school. “its not me, its middle school!”
